East Asian movies nail the drama and comedy genre like no other. Besides the popular Japanese, Korean and Chinese films, Thai and Indonesian films are no less in the regard. Indonesia has time and again made some really moving dramas and comedies, that too in multiple parts. Binged is here to recommend one such drama franchise. ‘Cemara’s Family‘ is a popular drama franchise with two parts released already. An adaptation of a serialised story that was published in Hai magazine, Cemara’s Family later became a series novel by Arswendo Atmowiloto. Cemara’s Family released in the year 2018 and the sequel Cemara’s Family 2 released in the year 2022.

Little is known about the film in India, so here is Binged making a solid recommendation and addition to your weekend watchlist. Both the films in the franchise are now streaming on Netflix India.

Abah gets a new job, Euis grows up to be a teenager, and Emak focuses on taking care of the youngest, Agil. When everyone is focused on their respective activities, Ara feels left out.
