The movie tells the story of two car sellers who work as small time thieves as well. Guru and Ganpat, the two thieves, steal a car and find one crore rupees inside. They are confused with the money and have no idea as to what to do with the money. Guru and Ganlat decide to sell the car and the customer recignises the car as his own and informs the real owner who is actually a gangster.
Directed by Pankaj Advani, Sankat City stars actors like Kay Kay Menon, Anupam Kher, Rimi Sen, Chunky Pandey, Rahul Dev and many others. The performances are great as usual and as you know, Kay Kay Menon and Anupam Kher never disappoint.
The movie is well executed and has a unique style that elevates the dark comedy. Dark comedy is a genre not much touched in India but this movie does justice to it. The cinematography is handled by Chirantan Das and Ranjit Barot has composed the music of the film.
