Wednesday Season 1 showed the titular character returning from her death, thanks to Goody Addams and her powers. In the finale, we see Marilyn Thornhill (who was actually Laurel Gates) utilising Wednesday’s blood to bring back Joseph Crackstone to life. Soon, Crackstone stabs our favourite Addams. Out of nowhere, her infamous ancestor, Goody Addams, arrives and heals her, giving her a new life. This scenario has made some Redditors theorise that Season 2 may have more supernatural storylines.
Although, Goody made it quite clear that her appearance in the finale was her final appearance in front of Wednesday, as she lost all her life force on the protagonist’s treatment. But it does not mean that we will not see more new ghosts in Season 2.
Several fans on Reddit have theorised that Wednesday now possesses the ability to talk to ghosts after her final encounter with Goody. This scenario, in a way, makes sense, given that a ghost healed her. Goody might have given some of her powers to Wednesday before departing from the show forever, or her life force might have forged a connection with the titular Addams’. Whatever case turns out to be true in the next season, watching Wednesday interacting with new ghosts will certainly be intriguing.
In addition, we should remember that many characters met their demise in Season 1. We could witness their return in Season 2 through Wednesday’s newly gained powers, in the form of ghosts, of course. However, this power will surely come at a price. What price will Wednesday have to pay for interacting with ghosts? We will find out about this scenario in the sophomore entry.
