Wednesday Season 2 Teases This Popular Character’s Departure

Netflix’s Wednesday broke numerous streaming records last year. Season 1 was far from being called perfect. But it received the benefits of the show’s perfect blend of humor and horror, and the performances of the cast members, particularly Jenna Ortega’s performance. She stole every scene in which she was in. However, her bond with one of the characters seemed a little off. And it looks like this character may depart from Season 2.

Percy Hynes White played Xavier in the first season. Recently, the actor was accused of sexual assualt, sending inappropriate images to women, and using racial slurs. Some Twitter users have revealed that White and his group were notorious in Toronto because of their activities of sexual misconduct with young girls. In addition, some of the accusations have disclosed that some of those girls were nearly thirteen years old.

White responded to these allegations via an Instagram statement in which he claimed that the allegations were “false”.

Tim Burton gave significant attention to the love triangle of Wednesday, Xavier, and Tyler. The protagonist’s relationship with Tyler looked better than her bond with Xavier in terms of chemistry. Right from the beginning Xavier’s arc looked controversial. He may have the power of bringing his art to life, but he is not good when it comes to relationships. His toxic behavior towards Wednesday and Bianca made things worse.

Jenna Ortega shared some interesting details about Wednesday Season 2 in a recent interview with Variety. The actress teased that the upcoming season will focus more on horror elements and less on romance.

“We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great,” Ortega said.

Jenna Ortega’s comments kind of confirm White’s exit from the show. It seems like his controversial character arc and his recent allegations may have forced the makers to axe the character from the series.
