The official trailer for Mithun Chakroborty’s upcoming movie ‘Shashtri’ is out now. It is directed by Pathikrit Basu and is adapted from the short story of the same name by Debarati Mukhopadhyay.
People have been waiting for Mithun Chakroborty to make a huge come-back for many years now but no recent movie of the actor has been able to impress the old fans. This one has again rekindled the hope in fans and people think that Mithun Da will again rule the box office of Bengal this puja.
The movie tells the story of Parimal Shashtri, a regular old man from a middle class family who is full of superstitions and believes in all types of astrology. But when he meets a big astrologer who is known for saying people from many scandals, he does not get the treatment he expected. Shashtri vows to take revenge and also build his own empire by scam. Soon he goes on to be one of the most powerful people of the city and an astrophysicist who has been trying to stop superstitions about astrology gets against him with all his might.
The movie has wonderful actors like Saswata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Anirban and Debashree Roy and there is a chance that this movie might do well in theaters. Fans are happy to see Mithun in a massy avatar (however that happens). And some netizens are worried whether the movie will have the ending like the original story or not. Fans from Bangladesh too are excited for the film and it is possible that it might work out well in the neighboring country too if it is released there.
