Harish Kalyan is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil Cinema. He gained widespread recognition for his performances in features like ‘Poriyaalan’, ‘Vil Ambu’, and ‘Pyaar Prema Kaadhal’. His latest release ‘Parking’, the debut of director Ramkumar Balakrishnan also starred MS Bhaskar and Indhuja Ravichandran in leading roles.
The film became a box-office hit, almost immediately. Moreover, the script for the feature scaled newer heights by finding itself a spot amongst many great screenplays from across the world at the ‘Core Collection’ section of the Margaret Herrick library aka the Oscar’s library!
Next up for the 3-time winner of the Edison Award is Shanmugam Muthusamy’s Tamil-language action-packed feature film ‘Diesel’. Starring in the leading role alongside Kalyan is Athulya Ravi, who has been featured in films like ‘Kadhal Kan Kattudhe’, ‘Yemaali’, and ‘Naadodigal 2’.
Although not a lot is known about the title, fans have been anticipating it desperately, just the same. Well, for these awaiting fans, we have some good news! While an exact release date has still not been announced, ‘Diesel’ is expected to hit theatres across the country near Diwali, i.e around 1st November!
However, the fact that five major films – Game Changer, Kanguva, Vettaiyan, Singham Again, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – starring the likes of pan-India megastars like Rajnikanth, Ram Charan, Suriya, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ajav Devgn, and more, can very easily impact the audience response of the film negatively.
As official confirmation is awaited, one can only hope that the feature is released at a time when it can be enjoyed by fans without having been overshadowed by one of the five films mentioned above.
