It is old news that a series on Harry Potter is being developed. But, there is a twist to it. Warner Bros. Discovery is getting ready to make more than one Harry Potter TV series! They’re listening to different writers who want to bring J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world to life on their streaming service, Max. Some of the writers presenting their ideas include Martha Hillier, Kathleen Jordan, Tom Moran, and Michael Lesslie. Right now, they’re sharing their thoughts on how to turn the seven Harry Potter books into a TV show.
These writers were asked by Max to create their own pitches, showing what they think the Harry Potter series should be like. The first meetings happened in Los Angeles, and the best ones will move on to the next round in the UK. We’re not sure how much J.K. Rowling, who made the Harry Potter books, is involved, but she’s expected to help decide on the series since she’s an executive producer.
Surprisingly, there might be more than one writer chosen, and Max is open to having different ideas for Harry Potter shows. This news comes after Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO, David Zaslav, said the Harry Potter series on Max will last for a whole decade. It all started in 2023, and they’ve kept it a secret until April.
If they end up developing more series than one then it would be kinda weird. Let’s see what happens.
