Netflix has now reduced the price of its subscription plan in more than 100 territories globally. The platform has given discounts for the basic tier range from 20 percent to 60 percent. The price for new and existing subscribers dropped immediately. And users are quite happy about the decision.
There are countries from the Central and South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and the Asia Pacific regions that will be benefitted from this new scheme. There are different ranges of drops in the price for different countries. But India and most countries from Europe and North America are not having the same opportunity. So does Netflix have some other strategies for these countries?
Netflix has frustrated its users time and again with its strange schemes. The password sharing problem has disturbed subscribers for long. Now the platform is trying to compensate with the price drop. While other streaming giants are increasing the prices, Netflix takes a step in the opposite direction. It will definitely help in increasing the subscriber base. The mobile plans for users in India is quite effective to build trust and dependance in users too.
But what else can Netflix do to revive the position of trust it had with users of USA or various European countries?
