Victoria Neuman’s “hidden” powers
Season 2’s final episode was explosive and jaw-dropping in every way. Apart from Becca’s tragic death and Ryan choosing Butcher over Homelander, there was a moment in the finale that shocked every viewer. And we mean every viewer!
Do you remember that nasty courtroom scene where we watched numerous human heads blasting and painting the walls red out of nowhere? The final moments of that episode revealed that Congresswoman Victoria Neuman was responsible for that infamous sh*t show. And there’s no doubt that she will play a crucial role in the impending season. To make things worse, Hughie gets a job at Neuman’s office in the end.
A new supe – Soldier Boy
Things have spiced up after the inclusion of a brand new superhero, Soldier Boy, in the third season. And he will be played by the Supernatural series fame, Jensen Ackles. Can you imagine a twisty version of Captain America? That’s what Soldier Boy is all about!
Eric Kripke recently informed in an interview with TV Guide about Soldier Boy: “The very first Superhero, he’ll bring so much humour, pathos, and danger to the role.”
Ackles’ appearance looks like we are watching a modified version of Infinity War’s Captain America. But we cannot expect him to copy the mannerism and style of Steve Rogers.
Homelander to go crazier than ever
Homelander is the only supe who deserves the tag of a real SOB. His wicked mind contains infinite frustration and anger, not to ignore his Superman-like superpowers. He will make The Boys’ lives a living hell. That’s a guarantee we can give! Additionally, the complicated father-son relationship between Homelander and Ryan can take the third instalment in a whole new direction.
What will happen to The Boys?
The time has come to introduce the bull in the house! Butcher and his team are no longer wanted people. We can expect Ryan to see a father figure in Billy that he previously searched in Homelander. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see how Billy deals with Becca’s loss and Ryan.
Hughie was enthusiastic about his new job at Neuman’s office. But we know his excitement is not going to last long. When you are working for a lady who knows how to splash your head with ease, things around you never remain the same.
Wait, we almost forgot Starlight! Annie comes back to Voight to re-join The Seven. How will she keep her calm around Homelander this time? And most importantly, what will happen to her and Hughie’s love bond? Well, we have no other alternative than waiting for Season 3 to get our answers.
New supes in town?
Apart from Soldier Boy, we have three new additions to the cast. The trio of Sean Patrick Flannery, Nick Wechsler, and Miles Gaston Villanueva will don the characters of Gunpowder, Blue Hawk, and Supersonic respectively. No other additions have been confirmed yet by the makers.
The Boys Season 3 will arrive on June 3, 2022. It consists of Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Giancarlo Esposito, and many more.
