According to an exclusive report from Variety, Christopher Nolan’s next feature project may be a remake of the popular British sci-fi series, The Prisoner (1967-68), which starred Patrick McGoohan in the lead. Many of you may not know but Nolan had plans to work on this project in 2009. However, he was forced to shelve it after AMC dropped its own version of “The Prisoner”, a six-part miniseries treasuring talents like Jim Caviezel, Ruth Wilson, and Ian McKellen. Variety reports that Nolan will pen down a completely new screenplay for “The Prisoner” given that the awards season has culminated.
An official confirmation from Christopher Nolan about this scenario is yet to surface. But it will be interesting to see with which production house Nolan will collaborate for the remake. Nolan has collaborated with Warner Bros for several acclaimed films like The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Tenet.
