Max has announced that a Spanish series is in works now and it will be the platform’s first Spanish Original. The novel will be a thriller series in eight parts and it will be produced by Zeta Studios. ‘When Nobody Sees Us’ will be the adaptation of the novel of the same name by Sergio Serrara.
It is a thriller based on Morón de la Frontera, an Andalusian town where a series of crimes hamper the peace of the citizens and two policewomen investigate the case. The town is situated in the Seville area, which is called the ‘deep Spain’ and has a US military base there. The crimes happen during the Spanish holy week celebrations. Lucía Gutiérrez looks on a suicide case and Magaly Castillo is an agent from the US who is searching for a missing fellow agent. The two officers join hands to unravel the deeper mysteries kf the place and the secrets of the crimes happening around.
The series is written by Daniel Corpas, Arturo Ruiz and Isa Sanchez. Enrique Urbizu will be directing it. Urbizu is known for previously helming projects like No Rest for the Wicked, and La Caja 507.
The makers are pretty confident that ‘When Nobody Sees Us’ will be a very different kind of thriller and it will impress the audiences. The director Enrique Urbizu has made many thrillers before but this is the first time he is trying something for TV. He wants to give it a new outlook and a new approach. Other details about the series are not revealed yet. The star cast and release dates are not known now.
