After a four-year break from streaming platforms, Saif Ali Khan is making his OTT comeback with Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, set to premiere on Netflix India soon. The film, a crime thriller, pits Saif’s character, Rehan, an intelligent con artist, against his ruthless rival, Rajan, played by Jaideep Ahlawat.
The cast also includes Kunal Kapoor, Nikita Dutta, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Gagan Arora, Loitongbam Dorendra Singh, and Sumit Gulati. With a mix of suspense, action, and mind games, the film revolves around an ambitious diamond heist that turns into a battle of wits.
Saif was last seen in the streaming space with Tandav (2021), which faced controversy over certain scenes. Before that, he led Sacred Games (2018), a landmark series in Indian OTT history. He is an actor who is constantly experimenting with his roles to offer more diversity to his fans and that it a very appreciable thing.
Recently, some reports mistakenly claimed that the film started streaming on March 27. However, Netflix India has most probably scheduled its release for April 25.
Again, this information is coming from a recent interview of Saif Ali Khan that was published recently. As of now, Netflix India has not released a release date of the movie, but Binged shall keep you updated on the date.
