For those of you who are waiting for Spider-Man No Way Home to arrive on OTT platforms, we have a piece of heartbreaking news for you all. MCU’s latest instalment has shattered and forged various box office records during its current theatrical run on a worldwide scale. Tom Holland’s third Spidey project is now the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie of all time. The film’s collection currently stands at $1.395 billion. It will surpass the prestigious $1.4 billion mark globally in no time. And it seems like the executives are enjoying its legendary run in the theatres a lot.
The makers of NWH have confirmed that they are not looking to dispatch their latest project on OTT platforms any time soon. Plus, we have to keep in mind that the web-slinger is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of the new deal between Marvel and Sony in September 2019. The abrupt cessation of the previous contract between the two studios led to a severely negative backlash from the fans. The entire scenario prompted Sony to sign a new deal with the Marvel executives. If we wrap these things up, we can conclude that the third entry in Jon Watts’ Spidey trilogy is not coming on Disney+ Hotstar after its exclusive 45-day theatrical run.
The NWH’s producers have decided to extend its present run for two more months in the theatres. It means we can get its Blu-ray version at the end of March or at the beginning of April this year. You must be wondering about its OTT release. Right? Well, both Homecoming (2017) and Far From Home (2019) are not available on the Disney+ Hotstar right now. And we highly doubt that No Way Home will appear on the streaming platform in future. Yup, that’s what you get after maintaining relations with Sony. Just kidding!
