Durga Puja is right at your door steps now, and the Bengali movie industry is releasing three movies today.
But the question is who will knock off the king this year? Because we have some real strong competitors, “Tekka” , “Bohurupi” and “Shastri”.
Now the industry is blessing us with three movies from three different genres.
And according to “BookMyShow”, “Bohurupi” got the most amount of likes and 6k tickets were booked within the last 24 hrs.
Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee this movie follows a cop who is trying to find this mysterious man.
Now if we decode the name “Bohurupi” we will find “Someone who can take the shape of anyone”.
Furthermore they have a strong cast which includes Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee in the lead roles.
If you like these kinda action thriller Bengali movies then you should obviously go for “Bohurupi”, otherwise there are few movies like “Vinci da” and “Mukhosh”, and you should definitely give them a watch.
Coming up next we have “Tekka” which according to “BookMyShow” has the second most likes which is 8.2k and there are 5.53k tickets booked in the last 24hrs.
As Dev Productions is experimenting a lot with its project, having Srijit Mukherji on board was a great choice.
The movie too has a strong cast. The cast of this movie is also incredible as it has Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhary, Rukmini Maitra and Paran Bandyopadhyay.
The story revolves around a janitor who kept a girl on hostage, the movie captures the timeline of 48 hrs.
And, if you are a big fanatic of these kinda hostage thriller movies then you should also try a Bengali movie series named “Mohamaya” and as well as a Bollywood movie “Madaari”.
And last but not the least, with very less engagement according to “BookMyShow”, “Shastri” directed by Pathikrit Basu got 2.3k engagement and there is no rise in ticket sales in the last 24hr.
The movie revolves around Porimol who is a factory worker who hopes for a change in his life and he gets a boon to predict the future.
This movie has a very beautiful reunion of Debasree Roy and Mithun Chakraborty; the cast also includes Soham Chakraborty, Saswata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Rajatava Dutta and Anirban Chakrabarti.
There is a movie called, “Aschorjyo Prodeep” if you like the plot of “Shastri” i am pretty sure you will like this too.
While we thought that “Shastri” would give a good competition to the other two but now it seems like, people are least interested in watching “Shastri”, and the clash is actually between “Tekka” and “Bohurupi”.
Now it’s a matter of time to watch who takes the trophy home, because three of them are releasing today on 8th October 2024.
