Talking about music that transcends, a band like the Beatles is definitely up there. With a biopic in the making about them, fans were excited about its execution, and the whole industry was watching.
The entertainment world is now making a shift towards biopics of musicians like Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, and now the Beatles. The era of biopics is probably reinventing itself.
For such films, casting plays a very critical role; they have to nail it. For example, in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek played the role of Freddie Mercury, nailed it, and won an Oscar. Whenever a director makes a biopic, the casting is crucial.
Though there is no official confirmation, we have one update. Sam Mendes has probably found his four Beatles:
– Harris Dickinson as John Lennon
– Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney
– Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr
– Charlie Rowe as George Harrison
In terms of acting capability, all four of them are nothing short of great. However, when it comes to their looks, the makeup team will definitely need to bring their A-game.
Fans do love these actors, and they will definitely support them no matter what. But attaching the Beatles tag to them will definitely bring some baggage. Only time will tell if it will be successful or not; that’s a question for a later period.
