A new original anime series “Godzilla Singular Point” is in works at Netflix. This new series comes followomg the success of other Godzilla anime films, “Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters”, “Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle” and “Godzilla: The Planet Eater”. This new original anime series will premiere globally on Netflix in 2021.
Atsushi Takahashi (Doraemon the Movie 2017: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi) will direct “Godzilla Singular Point” with an all new cast and an original story. The other members of the creative team include Kan Sawada (Doremon films, Yowamushi Pedal), Toh Enjoyed, a Japanese sci-fi novelist will make his début as editor and writer for this original anime series.
Kazue Kato creator of Blue Exorcist and the hit comic currently serialized in Jump Square will serve as the character designer, and animator Eiji Yamamori from Studio Ghibli films including Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and The Wind Rises will do the Kaiju design.
“Godzilla Singular Point” will be produced using both hand-drawn and CG animation styles by Anime studio bones (My Hero Academia) in partnership with studio Orange (Beastars, Land of the Lustrous).
The original anime series “Godzilla Singular Point” is all set to launch worldwide on Netflix in 2021.
