Whoa! The Teen Cast Of This Netflix Show Just Dropped The Best News Ever!

Netflix’s latest YA comedy, ‘Never Have I Ever’ has been renewed for a second season as it was announced by the actors of the show via an announcement video posted to their social media handles.

The TV show follows Indian-American teenager, Devi and her two best friends as she tries to navigate her high school, love, friendship and loss all while trying to struggle with her identity and climb the social ladder through some questionable ways.

For the second season’s announcement the show’s cast expressed their excitement by tweeting the news on July 1st through a cute video call that featured the whole ensemble and caught them joking about Maitreyi’s (Devi’s) bangs before finally revealing the thrilling news.

The cast also individually expressed their happiness for the good news on their social media handles.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan who plays Devi tweeted her excitement as did show’s creator Mindy Kaling who said, “We are so excited for a second season of #NeverHaveIEver! It’s all because you guys turned up to watch it and told your friends – it’s that simple! Thank you so much. And THANK YOU to our partners @Netflix!”

The first season of the show had received a phenomenal response on Netflix when it debuted in April 2020 by holding the No. 1 spot for several weeks in various countries around the world.

Although there has been no announcement of a release date yet, fans can expect the TV show to likely return in April 2021.

The original cast is likely to return for season two of ‘Never Have I Ever’ consisting of Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnet, Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young. It has been co-created and produced by acclaimed writers Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher.
