The Greatest of All Times (GOAT) starring Vijay as the main lead is about to make its appearance in cinemas from 5th September, Friday. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. It is a huge film with a budget around 340 crores. The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay playing double roles and along with him Jayaram, Prashanth, Prabhudeva etc. star in the movie in supporting roles. The film has quite a buzz around it prior to its release and is set to have a big opening day this Thursday.
The movie marks the summit of Vijay’s career. This is one of the last films the actor will undertake before shifting to politics full-time. He can surely expect a great response from his fans for the film for the same. The film is made with a great budget and is filled with action sequences that define Vijay’s filmography. The director also has focused on Vijay’s stylistics and his star power is sure to lure in masses to the theatres. The film deals with themes such as Intelligence service, vendetta, past memories and their aftermath etc. They are very successful themes for making an action thriller. Vijay’s last film Leo was a huge success on the box office and its hangover must be there in the minds of people.
The film already has more than 14 crores of revenue from advance ticket bookings. And as of now, the film hasn’t been announced for its release in Hindi. The movie will be screened on 5000 screens in all of India and the production house also plans on overseas business. This will make it a global film further widening the audience and increasing profits. With almost all the good films being old now, and no big films around its release, GOAT can be taken as the biggest film in near time. Devara Part 1, Yudhra and Thangalaan’s Hindi dub release are some films that can make a difference this month. But owing to Vijay’s star power, the sentiment for this movie being almost the end of his career and the spectacle the movie carries provide it an edge over the others.
The film hence can prove to be the highest grossing film of the month. It may also prove to be one of the highest grossing films of the whole year itself as well.
