Heeramandi is about to be released on Netflix India very very soon. Not only for Netflix India, the project is perhaps the biggest ever on the Indian OTT. Content would be out on the 1st of May but promotions are the only way out till that date.
The trailer was unveiled a few weeks back and the reception was mediocre at best. The trailer failed to convey the plot well and most of the things that were revealed were actually anti-interesting.
So what is the rescue now?
What’s done is done. There is no redemption from that. But, Heeramandi badly needs a second trailer. The second trailer would at least try to be more than merely opulent visuals and try to explore the story partly in a better manner.
We do realise that there are some very tall claims about Heeranandi but merely opulence can never be enough for the audience of 2024 to attract. They have evolved and they have grown up to be more and more demanding. The demand includes a good story, a worth it climax and interesting characters.
Will they be getting all these things? We’ll find it out on the 1st of May. Till then, Netflix India must
