Criminal Justice Season 3 has been streaming on Disney+Hotstar for quite some time now. Although this flagship series by the platform is already a big name in the Indian OTT space, a strategy used by the platform is only elevating it.
You might remember how insanely Criminal Justice was bashed by the audience when they announced the weekly release of episodes. Users complained against the policy of Hotstar that they are milking the buzz of the show.
But the data says it differently. Criminal Justice Season 3 was released on Disney+Hotstar on 26th August. Since then it has survived many waves. Be it Akshay Kumar’s Cuttputlli, Dahan, Vikrant Rona, or even Madhur Bhandarkar’s Babli Bouncer.
Even much recently, Hotstar released Karm Yuddh which has some veteran actors and a promising plot, but this has zero effect on Criminal Justice Season 3.
When a series is released all at once, then people watch it over the weekend but in the case of weekly episode releases, the buzz is consistent throughout. This is exactly the case with Criminal Justice where the audience is as excited for upcoming episodes as they were during the premiere.
Seeing the success of the show, there are chances that Disney+ Hotstar or even other platforms may come up with similar strategies for other shows.
