The year began for Prime Video with Raj and DK helmed Farzi. The Shahid Kapoor led series co-starred, Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon. The series was a monstrous hit, so much so that if we follow the makers then it is the most watched web series ever in India.
After a disastrous response to Happy Family Conditions Apply, the platform came up with Jubilee. Although Jubilee is not that big a hit it received widespread appreciation for its brilliant execution. Needless to say, Vikramaditya Motwane’s content is not everyone’s cup of tea. But the way Jubilee performed in India is truly remarkable.
The next in the line-up is Dahaad starring Sonakshi Sinha alongside Gulshan Devaiah and Vijay Varma. Although they are not that prominent stars, they still can make Dahaad a worthy clickable on the platform.
Interestingly, this is just the beginning. They have shows like The Family Man Season 3, Mirzapur Season 3, Pataal Lok Season 2, and a lot more. They are extremely popular amongst the masses and have a high chance of getting released within a year.
On the other hand, competitors like Netflix India and Disney+Hotstar do not have the same slate. Guns & Gulaabs, The Good Wife, and more are some promising titles but they can easily be outnumbered.
