Sky Force is the first hit of this year as it even touched the 100 crore mark at the box office.
But did it?
Well, God knows and the producers. But there are several reports that claim otherwise. There are several reports that suggest that the collection of the films is way lower than the one reported by the producers. And to a lot of extent, people indeed reported empty theatres.
But that phase is now gone. The film is not running on the big screens anymore.
So why are we reporting it now?
Because no OTT platform is ready to buy the rights to the film. The movie has no deal with any OTT platform as of now and the reason is the same controversy regarding the fishy box office numbers.
So what is happening?
The film can’t sell itself to OTT at the usual Akshay Kumar film price. It needs to massively cut its price in order to actually sell itself on OTT. Since the film is nowhere close to where it should be in terms of storytelling and animation, there are severe concerns about the potential of the film over OTT. Well, let’s see if the film manages to sell itself on the OTT.
