Telugu film, Jathi Ratnalu starring Chhichhore fame Naveen Polishetty and two other comedy actors – Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna is all set for a grand release on March 11th as Maha Shivaratri Special. The movie was supposed to release in April last year but the pandemic has played the spoilsport.
In an interview, the director KV Anudeep revealed about the OTT offers it has got during the Lockdown when many films have opted for a direct Online release. “The producers got a very fancy offer from Amazon Prime Video. There are some other OTT offers as well. But we felt the movie which is a laughter riot can be enjoyed only in the theaters. So, the producers did not agree and held it until theaters opened,” he said.
Jathi Ratnalu is the second film of Anudeep and he is very confident of its success. “Jathi Ratnalu is the story of three guys who are never serious in life. What happens when they get themselves into a serious crime is the story,” he said about the film’s plot, Nag Ashwin who directed Mahanati – the Biopic of South Legend, Savitri is turning producer with this movie.
