Rebel Moon movies will undoubtedly be important for both Netflix and Zack Snyder. Produced by the streaming giant, the upcoming space opera project stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Michiel Huisman, Ray Fisher, Jena Melone, Doona Bae, and many more talents.
The forthcoming Rebel Moon flicks will aid Snyder in building his own fictional world from scratch. In addition, they will play a key role in proving the significance of directional control.
We all know Snyder’s controversial history with Warner Bros, eventually forcing the former to part ways with the film studio and DC. Fans want him to return to the world of DC. But it seems like the helmer is concentrating on developing his own universe, free from Hollywood’s grasp.
After dropping his own version of Justice League on HBO Max, Snyder partnered with Netflix to direct ‘Army of the Dead’, starring Dave Bautista. The film was an enjoyable blend of zombie action and heist drama, and broke several streaming records after arriving on Netflix.
Netflix is pretty confident about the Rebel Moon universe and has green-lit a sequel to ‘Part One: A Child of Fire’. This gives Snyder enough room to lay the foundation of different universes, storylines, teams, and characters and develop them properly.
Helmed by Zack Snyder, ‘Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire’ will arrive on Netflix on December 22. Stay tuned for more updates.
