Forgive Us Our Tresspasses apart from a verse is the name of a new short film on Netflix. You must have watched a lot of movies based on Nazi Germany. Some of them are hilarious like Inglorious Basterds while some are heart-wrenching like Schindler’s list. Some even explore the less talked about things such as emotions, love and friendship like The Reader or The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas.
Whenver we talk about the Holocaust then one community generally goes missing. They were no less German and also belonged to the so-called pure Aryan blood as the propaganda of the Third Reich suggested. Still, they were unwelcomed and dumped in the gas chamber only to be killed and later thrown inside a chimney to burn.
They were the disabled people who required extra care and money for a healthy survival. Instead of providing an opportunity to make their lives easier, the Nazi government ordered to kill them as they were considered a burden on the German society.
Forgive Us Our Tresspasses is based on such a story. The film is only 10 minutes long and after including credits, it streches to 14. A boy suffering from a genetic disorder is ordered to kill but he runs for his life and is ready to do everything that his survival demands.
Will he be able to save himself? Find out the answer to this question and give this film a little thought.
