Tomorrow the official teaser for Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Bhola‘ Will be released. ‘Bholaa’ is the official remake of the original Tamil film ‘Kaithi’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The original movie starred Karthi and was a huge box office hit.
‘Vikram Vedha’ made a mistake at the time of its theatrical release. The Hindi dubbed version of the original Tamil movie starring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi was still available to watch on MX Player and even on Youtube. Despite having huge expectations, and wonderful performances Vikram Vedha did not work that well in the theaters.
Even Kaithi’s Hindi dubbed version is available to watch on various platforms including MX Player, SonyLiv and even Youtube. This will be a huge determining factor for the success of the movie. People who do not know much about the movie will probably like to watch the Hindi dubbed movie. And this will obviously affect the business of the remake. It would have been a better decision if the makers made the Hindi Audio version of ‘Kaithi’ unavailable for the time being.
Ajay Devgn is doing back to back remakes but the recent ‘Drishyam 2’ is doing a great job in the theaters. One of the biggest reasons for the huge success of the remake of Jeethu Joseph’s Malayalam movie of the same title is that it is nowhere available in a Hindi audio. Most people like movies in a language they are comfortable in and subtitles are not everybody’s cup of tea. That is why they flock to the theaters to know how the story proceeds. If Bholaa repeats the same mistake of Vikram Vedha, it will have a hard time gaining its audience.
