The first look posters too met the same fate with people asking others to uninstall the OTT app on social media. The trailer was delayed by a day without citing any reasons. Though that could have been either due to the strong public reaction against the first look posters or due to the health issue of Sanjay Dutt.
Right now the trailer is trending on #1 on YouTube with whooping 18 million views on it. Probably bad marketing is still marketing for the Sadak sequel, though not the one makers might want. The slogan for boycotting the film and the platform has been gaining traction on social media on account of nepotism debate that has sparked since Sushant Singh Rajput‘s unfortunate demise. Even the comment section for the trailer is filled with people demanding justice for SSR.
All this looks pretty worrisome for the people behind the film specifically for Mahesh Bhatt who is returning to the director’s chair after almost two decades. People’s rage is all over social media against the star kids. How long will it last, no one knows. What if Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2 is just the beginning? Has the time come for a overhaul in Bollywood?
