After witnessing the holy Spidey trio of Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland, and Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man No Way Home, the MCU fanbase strongly desires to see Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 or any other project related to Sony-Marvel’s Spider-Verse. The 38-year-old actor has hinted before that he is open to donning the web-slinger’s suit in future Spidey instalments. His exact response to this situation was “never say never”. However, he recently appeared in an interview with Variety where he informed that he has no plans to shoot his webs for the fourth time on the big screen.
Garfield recently took part in the 28th edition of the Screen Actors Guild Awards where he shared his thoughts to Variety: “No plans, that’s the truth. Everyone’s gonna call me a liar for the rest of my life. I’m the boy who cried wolf.”
We all know how expert The Amazing Spider-Man is when it comes to saying or accepting the truth. He dodged the question about his involvement in No Way Home at every chance he got before the movie’s release. He wanted to keep his highly-anticipated return with Maguire a secret. And he pulled off that job amazingly well. But now, the whole world knows what happened in NWH. That’s why it will become hard for fans to believe that he is not a part of a future Spider-Man project.
Garfield has already bagged 2022’s Golden Globe for Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) for his outstanding performance in ‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’ with Lin-Manuel Miranda at the helm. Additionally, he has received a nomination in the same category for this year’s Academy Awards.
