Charlie Cox’s cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home sent fans in a tizzy. Those few minutes of Daredevil’s appearance stayed with audiences much long after the movie finished. The appearance confirmed Daredevil’s entrance in the MCU. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, ever since it appeared on Netflix in 2015, has been immensely popular.
Now that Daredevils entry is confirmed, fans would similarly love to see the following three characters to enter the MCU and have their own standalone movies:
Wolverine
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Fox-produced X-Men’s franchise was a popular comic book character even before MCU made comic book-based movies popular with Iron Man in 2008. The Disney – Fox merger two years ago brought the X-Men IP under the MCU umbrella. This has opened doors for Wolverine to become part of MCUs phase IV. There are several rumours doing the rounds on how and when we may expect Wolverine to enter (it could be as early as the next Dr. Strange movie). Irrespective of which rumour turns out to be true, fans will welcome Wolverine’s entry in the MCU.
Miles Morales
Miles Morales is an alternate version of Spider-Man to that of Peter Parker’s. Miles Morales won hearts with his appearance in Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse that came out in 2018. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. However, the movie was not part of the MCU. It was part of Sony’s Spider-Man universe. With Tom Holland playing Peter Parker in the MCU, Miles Morales may not have a place in the MCU yet. But never say never as the MCU has sprung surprises in the past.
Ghost Rider
Similar to Spider-Man, Sony owned the rights for Ghost Rider ever since Marvel licensed a major part of their most popular properties back in the 1990s in order to avoid bankruptcy. Sony had produced the Ghost Rider movies starring Nicolas Cage which released in 2007. These movies were largely a disappointment. In 2013, rights to this character reverted to Marvel post which a different version of Ghost Rider made an appearance in Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Given the popularity of this character, there are constant speculations about this character making an appearance in the MCU. And these won’t die until the character makes an appearance.
Marvel fans globally would hope that Kevin Feige and other decision makers at Marvel Studio fulfill their wishes of bringing these characters alive
