Maddock Films has build a strong reputation as a production house that has given back to back hits in the recent past. Be it, ‘Stree 2’, ‘Munjya’, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ or the most recent ‘Sky Force’ who ch also doing decently at the box office.
As a result all eyes are now on its upcoming highly anticipated release ‘Chhaava’ by Laxman Utekar starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in prominent roles.
Set for release on 14th February, makers are not leaving any stone unturned in promoting the film. From non-stop interviews and promotional events across country to various song releases and promos dropped on the internet every now and then.
Carrying forward the elemental theme from posters to promo, ‘Chhaava’ has had a good marketing campaign except for the trailer. But isn’t the trailer one of the most important part, after all it paints the picture of what one should expect from the film.
‘Chhaava’ already has the hard core Maratha and Hindutva supporters rooting for it alongside Vicky Kaushal fans. But all this is only going to work if the plot, the execution and the performances hit the spot. Because we all know a backing from a faction of people is no way for a film to succeed.
Only if ‘Chhaava’ has less shouting, since was there much of it in the trailer, and more substance is it going to work on the big screen and for the larger audience. Hopefully we get to see a visual spectacle in ‘Chhaava’ and it performs as it promises.
