The official trailer of Chris Pratt‘s Jurassic World Dominion dropped yesterday. And the fans are overjoyed to see the veteran trio of Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum together again. Additionally, fans have started to hail the upcoming Jurassic project. A majority of them believes that this one will bestow a satisfying conclusion to the entire Jurassic World trilogy. Will it be true? Or is it on the path of becoming one of the biggest misfires in the history of Hollywood? Let’s find out!
Colin Trevorrow helmed the first entry in the Jurassic World film series. The movie was a gigantic success at the box office. Plus, it received an amazing response from the audience. Yes, it was no way near Jurassic Park, dispatched in 1993, with the legendary Steven Spielberg at the helm. But it turned out to be a worthy addition to the Jurassic Park saga.
However, we cannot say the same about the Fallen Kingdom. It sort of lost its steam in the second half in addition to suffering from a poor plot. But the Dominion’s trailer has cultivated some hopes for the diehard fans of the franchise.
The events of the Fallen Kingdom showed all the genetically engineered dinosaurs escaping into the human world. And the upcoming movie will take place four years after the events of the previous instalment. People have no alternative but to learn to live with these majestic creatures. And we have the duo of Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) trying their best to protect them at any cost. It is obvious that the iconic team of Dr Alan Grant, Dr Ellie Sattler, and Dr Ian Malcolm with aid them.
No doubt that the makers are trying to give the fans a flawless mixture of freshness and nostalgia with the forthcoming Jurassic World instalment. And the latter has a golden opportunity to undo the mistakes of Fallen Kingdom. Also, it may bestow a perfect conclusion to the entire franchise.
But we cannot ignore that too much of a good thing can turn out very bad. With so much going on, Trevorrow’s direction may crumble under the weight of fans’ immense hope and excitement towards the upcoming movie. But it has generated a positive hype so far. Let’s see how it performs in theatres.
Colin Trevorrow returned to pen down the script of Jurassic World Dominion along with Derek Connelly in June last year. He has also helmed this one. It will release on June 10.
