Fans know that the feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel erupted back in 2017, during the shoot of The Fate of the Furious. As a result, Johnson starred in his spin-off series, Hobbs & Shaw, with Jason Statham. Ever since the exclusion of the former WWE superstar from the action franchise, fans have been speculating over his return in future F&F instalments. Universal Pictures confirmed long ago that the tenth entry would come out in two parts. It is also the final addition to the Fast saga. Will we see Johnson as Agent Hobbs in these parts? Let’s find out!
Some time ago, Diesel uploaded a video of himself inviting Johnson to appear in the remaining F&F instalments on Instagram. The action star mentioned his children and Pablo (late Paul Walker) to persuade The People’s Champion. However, Johnson is not in the mood to return to the franchise. During his latest interview with CNN, he said: “I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return.
Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding.”
We don’t know if Diesel displayed pure intentions in his Instagram video. Or it was a cheesy attempt to lure back Johnson into the franchise to get a better plot for the future entries. Whatever may be the case here, but it seems like The Brahma Bull has parted ways from the F&F franchise for good.
