Will Justice League Snyder Cut Finally Show How The Joker Killed Robin?

Will Justice League Snyder Cut Finally Show How The Joker Killed Robin?

With the four hour run time, we are expecting Zack Snyder to show us a completely different Justice League movie compared to the sh*tstorm that was made by Joss Whedon, which was released back in 2017. We know that Jared Leto will be making an appearance in the Snyder Cut as The Joker, which will release next month, so we can’t help but wonder if Robin will be shown in this upcoming remake too? And if he is making an appearance, then it will be most likely to show his death, which was at the hands of the Joker (this was teased in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice).

If you guys remember, Justice League was initially made to be a two-part film series. But Warner Bros. Pictures eventually scrapped that plan, forcing Snyder to make a two and a half hour long action feature instead. With the restrictions on the movie runtime now removed, we are expecting Zack to fit in both, initial dual movie concepts into this huge mammoth of a movie. So in this superhero flick, we expect to see the resurrection of Superman, the addition of the Martian Manhunter into the Justice League team, Cyborg getting a bigger role, a look at Darkseid and of course, the inclusion of the clown prince of crime – The Joker.

Snyder was supposed to be for DC what Kevin Feige was for Marvel, but Warner Bros. Pictures lacked the patience to allow him to play out his vision. Snyder’s plan was to initially tease Robin’s death at the hands of the Joker, in either the Batman movie which was supposed to star Affleck or in the second Justice League movie (both which got scrapped by the studio). This four hour marathon will actually allow Snyder to show his vision of Robin’s death, the death which drove Batman to break his rules on killing and torturing of criminals, a very important detail which was very much needed in the critically panned Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

With the way Robin’s suit was damaged in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, we expect the side-kick to have been significantly tortured before he eventually died at the hands of The Joker. Robin’s death would have a significant effect on Bruce Wayne/ Batman, as Robin was a surrogate son and after his parents’ death, this would have been one of the most important deaths in his life and the reason why Batman broke his code, which (again) is an important detail that needs to be shared to all DCEU committed fans, especially after the backlash Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice received for its portrayal of the Dark Knight.

Jared Leto’s Joker’s new look in the Snydercut version of Justice League is out and it is an unsettling sight. Gone are the tattoos, the slicked back green hair and the purple suit – we get a new, raw and grizzly look at Gotham’s trickster. This Joker is supposed to be part of a dream sequence of Batman’s (which is where we also expect to see the death of Robin), where the earth has been taken over by Darkseid. We are not sure how we feel about Joker not getting a more significant role in this movie also, but anything is better than nothing at this point and we will take what we can get.

We expect more information about the SnyderCut to be out on Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2021, which is when the second official trailer for the same will be officially released. The movie is expected to premiere on HBOMax in the US on 18th March 2021.

We expect to find out about the streaming platform that the SnyderCut is going to release in India, during the coming weeks. Follow us for more information, on twitter or here, on our website.
