Natural Star Nani is the only actor from the Telugu film industry to have two Direct-to-OTT releases. He had V after the first wave and now, Tuck Jagadish after the second wave skipping their theatrical release. Tuck Jagadish will be out on Amazon Prime Video on September 10th as Vinayaka Chaviti Special.
There are reports that his ongoing production venture, an anthology film, Meet Cute to be directed by his sister Deepthi Ganta will also release directly on some OTT platforms. Meanwhile, Nani, in an interview, was asked if he sees himself acting in a web film in the future.
“I am a fan of the big screen, I don’t know if I will fit into a web series or a web-film. I love the theatrical experience where films have a beginning, interval, and a climax,” the actor said. Nani has come under severe criticism for opting for an OTT release even after the theaters have opened. Some people in the Telugu film trade have even cursed him for doing some. Probably, that is playing in Nani’s mind when he was asked the question.
Nani has completed the production of another film, Shyam Singha Roy, and is shooting for one more film, Ante Sundaraniki. If the conditions are favorable, Shyam Singha Roy will release in theaters in December.
