Before the release of Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon Part Two”, he is already thinking about the upcoming sequels, Snyder said he wants to make it a six movie franchise. Isn’t it too much to think of at this very early stage?
The Part One of Rebel Moon , “A Child of Fire ”, got some really negative reviews, as the movie lacks originality. The franchise is inspired by “The Starwars”, and audiences found a bit too much similar aspect in the first part.
Although the movie was well appreciated for its epic setting, where Snyder proved his directorial intelligence and his epic imagination. But, on the other hand the movie lacked world and character building. Which is really important for science fiction.
In order to create good science first we have to familiarise the audience with the world the movie is going to explore.
“Dune” is a great example for this, the first part presented the audience with details and the settings in such a manner that Arrakis stayed inside the mind of the audience, and in the second part all the main events took place.
But, Rebel Moon failed in establishing that very thing.
Now, Zack Snyder is really ambitious about his high budget epic science fiction franchise, where he wants to explore two more stories, both being a two part movie, but with the really negative reviews from part one, probably audiences are not going to enjoy Snyder’s part two.
And with the recent change in Netflix’s authority, the stats are saying that Snyder’s dream can stay as a “Dream” only.
Rebel Moon ended up in two parts because Snyder wanted to convey a hefty amount of story through one movie, but that wasn’t Netflix’s desirable length. And now on April 19th the part two “Sacrgiver” is going to be released.
Scargiver is going to explore the threats that await for Kora. Picking up from the epic battle at the end of Part One, The Scargiver continues Kora’s conquest.
Tomorrow 19th April 2024, “Part Two The Scargiver” will be waiting for you, in your Netflix Account.
