Earlier today, the makers of Pawan Kalyan and Rana‘s Bheemla Nayak announced that the film’s release has been postponed in view of the welfare of the industry. This move is to facilitate long-delayed pan-India biggies RRR and Radhe Shyam which have occupied the 7th January and 14th January release slots respectively. Rajamouli and the makers of Radhe Shyam took it to social media to thank Pawan Kalyan and team Bheemla Nayak for altering the release plans to accommodate their films this Sankranthi season. But the big question is, will the makers of RRR and Radhe Shyam return the favor to Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak when the film hits the silver screens?
Had Bheemla Nayak released on 12th January, alongside RRR and Radhe Shyam, the film might have marginally escaped the wrath of the government of Andhra Pradesh, which is hellbent on irking Pawan Kalyan in any which way. But now that the film’s release has been pushed to 25th February, a solo release slot, the chances of the Pawan Kalyan starrer facing a set of hurdles laid by the YS Jagan-led AP government are alarmingly high.
Bheemla Nayak had to vacate the cushioned Sankranthi slot for RRR and Radhe Shyam and had to pick a solo release slot, knowing full well about the risk associated with it. Then, if Bheemla Nayak is indeed targeted by the state government, the onus is on the makers of RRR and Radhe Shyam to come to the rescue and stand by the Pawan Kalyan starrer.
It is highly likely that AP government will come for Bheemla Nayak, much like the way it did with Vakeel Saab, and impose unforeseen restrictions on the film’s release. So, it would be of great need that the makers of RRR, Radhe Shyam, and also the Telugu film industry who have been appreciating team Bheemla Nayak now, stand united then. But will that happen? We have to wait and watch.
