When Malayalam cinema was having a tough time during the covid-19 lockdown, there was this little gem of a film that went on to win its target audience like never before. Yes! We are talking about Senna Hegde’s Malayalam film ‘ Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam’ that premiered on sonyLIV last year. The comedy drama was very well received and the director even talked about a potential sequel to the film aiming a 2023 release. Meanwhile, Senna Hegde’s second Malayalam film is gearing up for a theatrical release tomorrow. Titled ‘1744 White Alto‘, the industry and fans are looking forward to the film.
The director who was behind one of the most popular romantic comedies of Kannada Cinema last decade, is coming with a Crime comedy film this time. Again in Malayalam language. The teaser, sneak peaks, and trailer of 1744 White Alto were received very positively. Although the details regarding the film’s plot is not out, from the looks of it, the film seems like a silly cop comedy where the cops are searching for a white alto car.
While the director has out-lived expectations in Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam, the expectations from his upcoming film is much more. Owing to the finesse Hegde carries in writing comedy, Malayali audience is expecting a repetition of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya He Or a Mukundan Unni Associates at the box-office this Friday.
Senna Hegde described 1744 White Alto as a silly film that gave him more creative freedom and flexibility in comparison to his previous film. Add to that, Kerala Box-office is having a good time currently with so many low-budget films emerging as surprise hits. Kooman, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya He,and Mukundan Unni Associates for example. So one can expect Senna Hegde to strike a gold quality wise and at the Box-office with 1744 White Alto.
