American film director, producer, and screenwriter Zack Snyder rose to fame with his feature film debut in 2004 with ‘Dawn of the Dead’, a remake of the 1978 horror film of the same name. Most recently, he directed 2023’s sci-fi drama ‘Rebel Moon’ and 2024’s ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver’, both of which were largely labeled by fans as a hit and a miss.
Upcoming from him is ‘The Seneschal’, a six-part ‘Rebel Moon’ podcast about the story of the first Jimmy robots. The first episode drops exclusively on Spotify, on July 29. Set in the same universe as Rebel Moon, but 500-years later, the podcast follows the creation of the first Jimmy robots.
While many fans were quick to point out the star-studded cast of the podcast, many also categorized it as a failed attempt to revive the hype for the failed Rebel Moon universe. However, with only a week and a half left until the first episode drops, numerous users have expressed their anticipation.
Most of the audiences are awaiting the back stories of their beloved Jimmy robots, with many even asking for the origin stories of other characters. On the other hand, a plethora of displeased fans have also expressed their disinterest in the unnecessary continuation of the failed movie franchise.
Read some of what the fans have to say:
I’ve really been wanting a story about the Jimmy’s, so I’m extremely excited for this! Can’t wait to listen. #RebelMoon
