SonyLIV’s , “Bench Life” provides us with a slice of life, which probably happens with every one of us in their daily life.
Written and directed by Masana Sharma who himself is a techie, “Bench Life” talks about the story of three corporate employees Balu, Meenakshi and Ravi who hate their job and want to chase their dreams.
Because, the director is also a techie so naturally the backdrop of this series is relatable to all.
The series includes actors like Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Vaibhav Reddy, Charan Peri, Ritika Singh, Aakanksha Singh, Nayan Sarika, Venkatesh Kakumanu and Tanikella Bharani
The story revolves around these three characters, Balu who is in love with his manager, Meenakshi who wants to be a director and Ravi who is not is not on good terms with his wife and just wants peace. But, everything changes when their senior employee comes in and all the characters have to go through some series of events to get what they always wanted.
This series is quite relatable because of its representation of youth, which is very much relatable, it portrays their emotional struggle and how they cope with it in a very realistic manner which is the selling point of this series.
This series is about overcoming what you are afraid of and this doesn’t provide you with any heart breaking moments but gives you enough comic relief.
But, the audience loved the series, one user called it the best entertainment series in recent times, but on the other hand some people think that it is okayish, not so fun.
