October is here and for the Bengali culture it is the time for Durga Puja, and also the time for the Bengali Movies to release some good movies.
But this year we have some real strong competitors, “Tekka” , “Bohurupi” and “Shastri” are releasing on the same date and that is 8th October.
And the amazing part is the advance booking of these movies has already started.
“Tekka” which is from Dev Production house features the story of a janitor who kept a girl on hostage, the movie captures the timeline of 48 hrs.
So it’ll be a very interesting take on the industry as we can see now Dev is doing some experimental movies.
The cast of this movie is also incredible as it has Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhary in it and Srijit Mukherji as the director.
On the other hand we have “Bohurupi”, produced and directed by Nandita Roy, another huge talent of the industry.
The story revolves around a dacoit who is on a run and cop is trying to chase him, this can be a very interesting story because if we decode the name “Bohurupi” it means, “someone who can shape as anyone”, so this movie is also has a very interesting take in it.
Furthermore the cast is even stronger, the film stars Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee in the lead roles.
Last but not the least we have “Shastri”, the comeback of our own Og superstar Mithun Chakraborty.
The movie revolves around Porimol who is a factory worker who hopes for a change in his life and he gets a boon to predict the future.
This movie has a very beautiful reunion of Debasree Roy and Mithun Chakraborty; the cast also includes Soham Chakraborty, Saswata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Rajatava Dutta and Anirban Chakrabarti.
With all fairness the cast of “Shastri” is pretty strong than the other two movies.
As the pre bookings have started now we have to wait until Puja to find out who own the gamble, because this year it very hard to choose which movie to watch, because the industry is differently offering us with varieties.
