Now this is a unique model in a way that not only will it make films available to a wider range of audience but also assist filmmakers to unlock newer monetization opportunities. With the real time data on ticket sales the producers can have a better understanding of how the film is doing.
Another unique feature of this transparent model is that post the viewing window on ShemarooMe, these films can be offered to Satellite, SVoD and other syndication avenues as well. This will help producers maximise their return like nowhere else since other platforms demand exclusivity of the content.
Through this initiative ShemarooMe will premier four movies on the platform. The first one is ‘My Client’s Wife’ which will stream on 31st July 2020. It features Sharib Hashmi, Anjali Patil and Abhimanyu Singh. It will be followed by an award winning film ‘Scotland’. Next is Sharman Joshi’s drama entertainer ‘The Least of These: The Graham Staines Story‘, based on true events. The fourth one is ‘The Hidden Strike’, an cation thriller.
