There were clear signs of creating a community divide through gut-wrenching violence. L2: Empuraan is a movie that caused insane reactions and still managed to earn more than 200 crores. In fact, it is the second Malayalam film to reach this level as the first one is naturally Manjummel Boys.

Which version of the film are we going to get?
Well, most probably it will be the second theatrical version which cuts the scenes of religious violence. The filmmakers are well aware of the consequences and they would not want another Annapoorani to the OTT release of L2 Empuraan.
Also, no OTT platform is fool enough to stream the first version of the film which can cause serious trouble to them.
