The production house plans to put together a host of international writers and artists to create a big-budget, groundbreaking quality series that has both the local and cultural nuances as well as the magnitude of international series. The author of the book has also been roped in as a consultant for the show.
This new series is going to be another feather in the cap for Roy Kapur as his recent productions ‘The Sky Is Pink’ and ‘Yeh Ballet’ got rave reviews and performed very well in theaters and online. So needless to say, expectations are high from this series on colonialism and the history of our war for Independence.
It’s yet to be seen whether the non-fiction book will be made for cable TV or an online platform as the pre-production has not started yet.
