Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 has received the green light from helmer Rhys Frake-Waterfield. The threequel will become the third entry to the TCU (Twisted Childhood Universe) and will serve as a direct sequel to the recently released Blood and Honey 2.
As per Variety, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and the leading man Scott Chambers (also representing the Jagged Edge Productions banner) have confirmed Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3. The upcoming indie slasher will have plenty of gory and murderous twists. In addition, it will have a bigger budget than its predecessors and will focus on new characters, like the Heffalumps, the Woozles, and the Rabbit, from the stories written by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard.
The threequel’s confirmation comes shortly after the release of Blood and Honey 2, which arrived in theatres on March 26. The second part dropped the jaws of movie lovers across the globe when it opened with a 100% ‘fresh’ critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on six reviews. As of now, the film’s critic score stands at 53% (rotten), based on 19 reviews. However, it seems like the audience is loving the film, as proved by RT’s audience score of 83%, based on over 250 ratings.
Despite the horrendous critical reception, the first Blood and Honey movie emerged as a box office success, earning over $5.2 million against a low budget of $100,000.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 has not yet received a release date. Stay tuned for more updates.
