After The Gray Man, the biggest film release on Netflix is Daniel Craig’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. It was a highly promoted, highly buzzy film and also a sequel to the 2019 Knives Out film.
Netflix’s every effort kinda appears to be showing results as the film has given the 6th biggest debut ever on the platform. Mind you that even after a year, Red Notice remains undisputed at the top position in terms of debut week views.
Also, it is lower than The Gray Man which was certainly promoted on a greater magnitude than this.
Regardless, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery earned over 82 million hours of views to easily become the most-watched film of the past week on the platform.
As you can see in the list above, these views contributed to the film that remained in the Top 10 list of 93 countries.
However, the film didn’t have that easy a time in India and it was even behind Codename: Tiranga and Doctor G.
Regardless, the lack of effort and sequel factor didn’t let the movie gain that much momentum but it is still an awesome opening. It would be interesting to see where the film rests in the most popular films list on the platform.
