Earlier in Today’s illustrious Amazon Prime Event, the iconic Priyanka Chopra took the stage to announce the official release of the exemplary documentary, “Women Of My Billion”. This documentary highlights the remarkable journey of a woman traveling from the South to the North of India, all in the hopes of connecting with survivors of violence and abuse. Produced under Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s banner, Purple Pebble in tandem with Awedacious Originals, the documentary is directed by Ajitesh Sharma and is now slated for a grand release in the OTT realm.
The documentary, often abbreviated as WOMB, sheds light on Sakshi Bakshi, who is the UN Women Champion of Change, who decides to undertake an exorbitantly difficult adventure of walking from one end of India to the other, which includes a distance spanning over 3800km, over 240 days. Along her journey, she empathizes and hears out women from various walks of life all over India, offering a heart-rending exploration of their horrific experiences. Pragya Prasun is another individual that is being highlighted in this documentary as well, for her efforts to provide rehabilitative services to women who were suffering all sorts of abuse and violence. This is a must-watch for all viewers across the board, and stay tuned for its official release.
