The official trailer for ‘Wonka’ is out now. Timothee Chalamet plays the iconic character of Willy Wonka in the movie. Wonka is adapted from the classic children’s story ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’ written by Roald Dahl.
The movie will serve as a prequel to Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, which was the story of a mysterious and elusive chocolate factory owned by a man who is equally mysterious. One day, the man announces that there are five golden coupons in some random chocolates from the factory and whoever collects those cards will be able to have a tour of the factory. Charlie, a young boy from a poor family, gets the unbelievable opportunity along with 4 other snobbish children. And an amazing adventure inside the chocolate factory follows. There have been many adaptations of the story on screen, stage and radio. The most iconic, however, was Tim Burton’s ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’ where Johnny Depp played Willy Wonka.
Timothee Chalamet looks absolutely amazing in the role of Willy Wonka. The trailer is beautiful and laden with absolutely wonderful visuals and music. Wonka is directed by Paul King and has actors like Keegan-Michael Key, Rowan Atkinson, Sally Hawkins, Olivia Colman, Jim Carter, Matt Lucas, Natasha Rothwell, Tom Davis, Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Rich Fulcher, Kobna Holdbrook and many more. The music is given by Joby Talbot and the cinematography is handled by Chung-hoon Chung.
Wonka will hit the theaters on the 15th of December this year and fans are excited for the movie. Timothee Chalamet will be in one of the most thrilling origin stories of all time and Wonka will hopefully be one of the most loved musicals.
