Last week we talked about how pathetic the views on Cobalt Blue were. Even after a better than average content and exceptionally great visuals, the film could not find a place in the Netflix Top 10.
But it looks like the film has benefited from word of mouth. As it did really find a place in Netflix Top 10 last week.
As you see in the image above, the film was the 8th most viewed film in India last week.
For the unversed, Cobalt Blue is a film by Sachin Kundalkar which is based on a novel written by Sachin himself. It revolves around a traditional Marathi family living in Kerala. A charming photographer tenant comes to live in their house. Siblings (a brother and a sister) from the same Marathi family fall in love with the same man and it is the chaos, trauma and complexities in the second half which takes the film forward.
However, the audience is not the only one responsible for not so great views on this title. Even Netflix didn’t promote this film the way they should have done. There were not enough posts on Twitter or a lack of any appreciable effort for Cobalt Blue.
But in the end, Cobalt Blue at least appeared in the top 10 most viewed films in India.
