Interesting content and interesting stories are the need of the hour for Bollywood now. Besides everything else, Bollywood is still managing to get some good stories and that has been making news. The upcoming Bollywood projects are either action films or stories based on real life. That isn’t bad at all, given that all of them have some good content in them. Now, another movie has entered the market and this one seems like it might be making people question a lot of things around them.
So, the latest update is that Zee Studios and Namah Pictures have introduced a brand new movie called “Lost”. The movie already has an ensemble cast, which includes stars like Yami Gautam, Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, and Tushar Pandey. The movie is set for release sometime in 2022. The movie will be helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the director of the groundbreaking Tapsee Pannu-Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Pink”.
The movie will be produced by Zee Studios, Kishor Arora, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Sam Fernandes, and Indrani Mukherjee. The movie is written by Shyamal Sengupta and Ritesh Shah and has music from Shantanu Moitra, who has given music for films like Kaadan, Parineeta, 3 Idiots, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Lage Raho Munnabhai among others.
The movie stars Yami Gautam in the lead as a media crime reporter and will be shot in Kolkata and Purulia. The movie is supposed to showcase a part of a metro city that normally goes unnoticed. The film will be presented as an investigative drama and will base its story around the topic “integrity of media”. With director Roy Chowdhury helming the project, it is an important point that the projects he leads should have elements of the world we are living in and there is nothing better than covering the integrity of media at this point in our country.
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury has always gone for social causes, be it with his movie “Pink” are others. He picks up topics that are relevant and will make people question things. That is something important when it comes to movies that are related to social causes. With a tightly knit script like “Lost”, the producers are guaranteeing the fact that the movie will definitely be something to look out for.
