Rocking Star Yash’s second collaboration with helmer Prashanth Neel, KGF Chapter 2, is currently on a box office record-breaking spree. The latest entry in the KGF series has easily entered the 900-crore club within the first two weeks of its theatrical release. And it is all set to break the prestigious 1000-crore barrier as well. But Yash is not yet done with the KGF series. The final moments of Chapter 2 showed a peon getting his hands on a copy of KGF Chapter 3. Plus, the on-screen Rocky has revealed a lot of interesting details about the upcoming third entry of the KGF franchise in a recent interview.
Yash recently had a chat with Variety where he disclosed that KGF Chapter 3 will have ‘a lot of kick-ass scenes’.
The Rocking Star continued, “There are a lot of things which we couldn’t do in Chapter 2. So we know there are a lot of possibilities, a lot of kick-ass scenes are there. But it’s just an idea. And we’ve just left it there right now.”
There is no other movie on the box office that can take down KGF Chapter 2. Even Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast and Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey have surrendered to KGF’s supremacy in terms of box office collections. The former barely managed to cross 200 crores in its present theatrical run, thanks to a decent response from overseas. On the other hand, Jersey has hit the rock bottom after compiling just 16.45 crores in its first four days.
In the same interview, Yash also talked about how he used to feel bad when the Kannada film industry was not given a proper amount of importance. Although, KGF Chapter 2 has changed everything for Sandalwood.
KGF Chapter 3 is rumoured to explore Rocky’s crimes in the United States and 16 other countries from 1978 to 1981. Various reports have unearthed that the sequel is currently under development. Apart from Yash, we may see Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Archana Jois, Malavika Avinash, Rao Ramesh, and many more in the forthcoming Kannada extravaganza.
